The Book Loft
The Book Loft of German Village is one of the nation’s largest independent bookstores. With 32 plentiful rooms of bargain books, this large store has an extensive selection of good reads. They also host a variety of great events such as book festivals and meet the author nights.
Franklin Art Glass Studios Inc.
Founded in 1924, and the original maker of Wendy’s Old Fashioned Hamburgers stained glass lamps, this shop is a German Village staple. With a vast array of decorative stained glass pieces, beautiful lamps, and other intricate pieces, this shop is a favorite to many Arbor residents. Franklin Art does custom work, repairs, and even offers stained glass classes.
Village Pet Supplies
The Arbor is a dog-friendly luxury apartment complex, and many of our residents have furry family members, so a great pet supply store nearby is important. Luckily, Village Pet Supplies is close to The Arbor and we can’t say enough great things about them. They are a local pet supply shop and their staff truly care about the health and well being of their customer’s pets. In addition to providing you with anything you may need for your furry friends, Village Pet Supplies also offers dog walking and pet sitting services.
Golden Hobby Gift Shop
The Golden Hobby Gift Shop has truly found a niche in the consignment sector, and we are proud to recommend them and be regular patrons of theirs. They are operated by the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department, they are a not-for-profit shop, and they sell handcrafted items made by senior citizens of Columbus and Central Ohio. As if that is not enough to make you a regular at their shop, we’ll add in for you that their shop is full of unique gifts, beautiful seasonal décor, and many great clothing items!
Stump Plants
Nothing brings more life into your luxury apartment than some green plant scenery, and Stump Plants is the perfect place to go for it. They have a vast selection of quality plants ranging from cacti and succulents to air plants and leafy houseplants. They also sell beautiful custom-made, artistic planters, sustainable terracotta pots, and many other sustainable crafted plant wares. In addition to supplying you with all your plant supplies, their website has a great journal with plant care tips, tricks and hacks.
The Red Stable
For Ohio made souvenirs and gifts, The Red Stable is the place to go. Known as “the original Ohio-made gift shop” they sell great products from over 100 local Ohio vendors and artists. The Red Stable sells everything from art, jewelry, and furniture to kitchenware, books, specialty foods, and even pet toys. They also sell great bath and body products and are well known for their vintage nutcrackers and smokers. This shop is truly a must-see, and we guarantee you will not leave empty-handed.
